So What's the Difference in the FormulationsLoose Mineral PowderThe Loose Mineral Powder has the least amount of coverage. It can be used alone for light, sheer coverage, or over foundation (or Creme Powder Foundation). If you are using it alone, you'll probably prefer the Regular Coverage or the Sheer Coverage (all Loose Powders are translucent so they don't have more than a hint of color) but the heavier the coverage, the more blemishes, imperfections, etc. that will be covered. If you are using it over the Creme/Powder Foundation we recommend the Ultra-Sheer or the Sheer so you don't change the color of your foundation. If you are using the Mineral Powder over your regular foundation, you'll do best with the Sheer Formulation and if you wearing the powder alone, we recommend the Regular Formulation.
Loose Mineral Powder/FoundationIf you need slightly more coverage, the Powder/Foundation product is better for you. We recommend using this alone (or over your traditional foundation). The Sheer Coverage works best over your regular custom blend foundation. It adds a nice finish without adding more coverage and without changing the color of your foundation. The Regular Coverage will also work, but it has a bit of coverage (similar to dusting with the Pro-Finish Powder over your foundation). The Extra and Extra+ Coverage Powder/Foundation is recommended for using as a stand-alone product or if you need heavy coverage. You can use any of the Mineral Make-up products alone, but the Regular Coverage Formulation will make a slight improvement in tone/coloring and the Extra and Extra+ Coverage are a bit more opaque. You can also use the Mineral Powder/Foundation with a just-damp cosmetic sponge for heavier coverage, but you'll want to experiment with this as you can get streaking if you aren't careful (the just-damp sponge and the powder/foundation together do work wonderfully for spot covering blemishes or problem areas).
Mineral Creme/Powder FoundationThis is the "cream" version of our wonderful Mineral Make-up. Most suitable for maturing skin or dehydrated skin, it is available in Oil Free, Enriched and Extra Moisture. If you prefer a liquid foundation for the ease of application and the wearability (as well as the fact that it doesn't settle as easily into fine lines), the Creme/Powder Foundation is the right choice for you. You have the option of various coverages (Sheer Tint, Regular, Extra and Extra+ Coverage). Select the best combination for your skin type. You can top with Loose Mineral Powder for a nice matte finish (we recommend the Ultra Sheer or Sheer Powder). The Creme/Powder Foundation covers and adheres well, without leaving any dry residue. Topping with the Loose Powder will just set your make-up, improve the finish and increase the wear. We recommend applying the Creme/Powder Foundation with a just damp cosmetic sponge (for more sheer, easily applied coverage) or with a dry cosmetic sponge (for heavier coverage). Because it is slightly drier than 'regular' liquid foundation, we recommend the Oil-Free only if you are extremely oily. If you have normal to oily, normal or normal to dry skin, the Enriched Formula is better and if you have dry or very dry skin, you'll do better with the Extra Moisture Formulation).
